Do you own forestland?
Sunrise Farm, the parent
business from which Timberfloor evolved, has been managing and harvesting
forestland in Southern Vermont and Western Massachusetts since 1969.
Because we understand and follow well established silvicultural principles,
our forestry program is responsible, sustainable, and a source of both
satisfaction and income for cooperating landowners. Unlike forestry
professionals who only consult and advise landowners for a fee then locate
a third party contractor to carry out the work, Sunrise Farm develops a
plan directly with the landowner then carries it out as well.
We are also experienced at interpreting and fulfilling
Massachusetts Chapter 61 and Vermont Current Use forest management plans. Using our working forest
tour as a starting point we can show prospective cooperating forest owners
how their forest will respond to thinning; a walk-through of their future
forest. Our forestry work often
includes the creation of recreation trails for hiking, horseback riding,
skiing, etc. We also have created dramatic view areas.
Wildlife habitat, especially wetlands, vernal pools and den trees
